  • For students who have tried skateboarding and have at least 2-4 weeks of experience.

  • Learning proper pushing and feet placement, turning Techniques, safely stopping, bailing and falling. Pumping and other maneuvers.

  • Mix of stationary and dynamic training.
  • Eligible for skatepark.
  • For students who have a strong command of the beginner basics and are ready to learn more advanced tricks.
  • Using dynamic training to improve basics tricks and learn intermediate moves such as ollies, drop-ins, grinds, slides, spins, flips, switch stance and more.
  • Eligible for skatepark lessons
  • For students who have a strong command of ¬†intermediate level tricks and are ready to string together lines and trick combinations.

Protective gear needed - details on Gear Up Page

checkList to prepare for skateboarding

  1. Be sure to bring your properly sized and well-maintained trick skateboard and protective gear. Or rent them from us at least 24 hours in advance of your lesson via the Sk8Gym Online Rental Shop
  2. Make sure your board is not excessively damaged: chips, cracks, rusting/ water damaged, griptape missing or peeling off, coned wheels, broken bearings. Superficial scratches are not of concern, they are actually very common as skill progresses.
  3. Arrive early to suit up protective gear before the start of the lesson
  4. Clothing - gym style wear provides added comfort when skateboarding. pants and long socks advised for leg Protection.
  5. Shoes - skateboarding shoes recommended. Low-soled sneakers will also work. Slip-ons not recommended. All laces & straps must be tight
  6. Bring plenty of drinking water
  7. Apply sunscreen prior to outdoor lesson or class
